For all of us who could'nt be there to watch it live or on TV is there any chance of getting a video/DVD/VCD/DivX or whatever of the race?

There was mention of doing this on another thread last week but I'm not sure anything came of it.

I'm not sure what's the best way to go but I'll gladly throw money at the problem.

Howzabout it?

I just put up a highly compressed 116 mb. WMA file in my KAZAA share folder.of the race.

Do a video search for "PBEEMER race" without quote marks .


I'll let the computer stay up for a couple of days.


I'm open for better suggestions on how to put up a 3.5 gig Mp2 file.somewhere.

Just installed kazaa for the first time.
Search on PBEEMER came up empty.
(I had the radio button for Video selected)

I'm probably using the tool wrong.
Any ideas?

Hmmmm. Joe, your screen looks just like what I tried. Did again this morning. Still no dice. Are you sure your folder is shared? What does it look like on a search when the content is already at it's maximum number of simultaneous downloads? Show unavailable or just not show up? Don't worry too much. I'd like it, but could live without it. I'm mostly just letting you know that it may not be working.

I changed my Router firewall about a week ago didn't have to do anything special with the old one. BTW I'm using KAZAA lite never had a problem sharing files before.

I'm open for suggestions to make it easier to upload without installing spyware in the process.

Hey guys I deal with this stuff a lot and stem from the old Napster days. Just a word here......Kazaa Sucks big time. It always has. A much better program is WinMX. Morpheus was a little better than Kazaa but no longer around. WinMX is set up like the old Naspter and has no advertisement etc to mess with ya.

Roger...depending on where Joe is, the problem is likely to be that you 2 are on different servers. There are Millions of people on Kazaa everyday and 1 server could never handle that. So there are 100s of servers that run Kazaa. So when you log on to the program and if your on a different server than Joe, your not going to see his HHD or find the file. Its random the way it works, when you log on. I could find someone on my server from lets say Asia but not the guy in a town 20 miles away. You get bumped to what ever server has the least traffic when you log on. And you only get to search and see whoever is on your server.

I used to do this with Napster. There was a program that you could open up when Napster was running. It would show literally 100s of servers and you could click on what server you wanted to go to instead of being randomly put on a server. Of course the more people on the server the more choises and variety of music you could find.

I heard a rumor that BMW was going to be sending a copy of their own race footage as well as the Speedvision coverage to all their dealers. You might want to ask your dealer if they have heard of this. It sounds much more exciting than your ussual entertain yourself while waiting at the dealer scenario.

I agree with Iceblue. This Kazaa thing sucks!
Tried to download a few other clips and they are less than 1 meg in size. My connection keeps getting bumped (Kazaa Server), started 1 hour ago and still not complete.

Too bad about Napster. What Napster managed to do in a few years, the freekn music industry was not been able to accomplish in the last 30 years!

I installed WinMX and its been 20 minutes and Joes file has not shown up yet?
Who uses this stuff? LOL!

Once I get this file I will post on my FTP share. Which I host here from home and the rest of the R11S owners can download easier.

My kid has time to play with this stuff! I just want to ride!

If anyone is interested I'll edit a Race video minus Commercials and red flag delay in mpeg 2 it should be about a 2 gig file. It would take overnight to download. anyone interested??

WMA is good enough for me Joe. Thanks for your efforts!
A few of our riding clan are in the us and missed the race sunday, now with your WMA skills they can enjoy this race over and over again!
