Ride to Ellensburg Pass, WA

More good weather this week and another chance to practice my dead lift. I planned to go by Mt.Rainier and to Naches on Hwy 410 but when I checked Cayuse and Chinook Passes are still closed. So I-90 to Ellensburg then over Ellensburg Pass to Naches and back over Durr Rd. through Umtanum Canyon. Here is a map for you know who-

I recently saw a photo of B & B in Cle Elum that was an old railroad worker's bunkhouse. Looks like it almost burned down. I wonder if it will be rebuilt-



While looking for photo opps of Mt. Stewart I found a man's home is his castle-





Beautiful wild flowers were everywhere-





Just like last week, the 1890s were a tough time with diseases at the Thorp Cemetary-

I took three wrong roads until I found a place to rest. My nemesis, rock strewn climbs on dirt roads. Bessie got tried and took a rest. About 30 minutes before this my GPS went blank. Was it an omen. Reboot and it worked again-

Snack and gas then head up Naches-Wenas Rd looking for Durr Rd.-

When I started up Durr Rd there was a dead end sign. As I was running late at this point I took Hwy 821 through Yakima Canyon to Ellensburg then home-



When I built this route it was 8.5 hrs including Duur and another little loop off 410. Back home the whole ride took 10 hrs.
