Broken Front Frame Support Tab
Unfortunately I dropped my bike in the garage. After quickly picking it back up I took it for a short ride and found that the whole front end was bouncing. I concluded that I had broken the small frame tab where the front assembly attaches. Not really angry about it but more frustrated. Also cracked the fork stop tab.
I really wanted to use my new mig welder but after a few practice runs on another piece of cast aluminum I decided it wasn't going to be good enough. Later this week I'll take it to my friends to have it tig welded. Anyone else broke this tab before? http://u.cubeupload.com/ryanhatch88/...7489D8EE8.jpeg http://u.cubeupload.com/ryanhatch88/...540D494FA.jpeg http://u.cubeupload.com/ryanhatch88/...B43B6B448.jpeg |
I broke the rear ones when a wind storm in New Mexico blew mine over fully loaded with camping gear, 10 years ago. Found a local shop with a spool gun that repaired it and beefed it up a little. Has done fine.

Quite common problem do a search there is another thread about such.

If you need a good front subframe with clear title, I have 1 now, soon to be 2...

This part of the frame doesn’t carry the vin number.
Just welded it up tonight. Going paint and install in the morning. http://u.cubeupload.com/ryanhatch88/...0417993B6.jpeg |
