HID question

How often do you use your high beam at night after a hid conversion

Consumer reports last month was very negative because of the fact that the reflector was not designed to work with the beam

so what is the truth from the trenches

I've been using Hi & Low HID's for a few years now....If your using the correct based bulb(H7 for Hi) not a converted D2 phillips(unless shimmed correctly) They work great.

One of my early conversions on a Phillips D2 bulb adapted to H7

If you don't get the focal point right you get spotty coverage and shadows.

I would say it upped my overdrive the light speed 25-30% also stay with bulbs in the 4.300k-6000k color temp for the most useful light .

Check out this thread for some comparison pics .......HID Lighting Comparison........(Photos)
