Just out of curiosity, how many of us here are members of the BMW-MOA? Or maybe the AMA. I’ve been a member of the MOA for years. Anything better out there?
And happy Thanksgiving, hope you all have Motorcycles to be thankful for. Last edited by MrFeldman; 11-28-2019 at 09:04 AM.. Reason: Content |

I'm a member of the MOA, and the RA.Went to both National relays last year, plus one of the MOA's Getaways to Orange Beach. Had a great time at all of them.

I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member.
I still watch the dvds from time to time! |

I lined the MOA a few years ago and went to the annual rally in Lebanon last June for the first time.
I also recently joined the RA and I have recently been nominated as Air Marshall for the new Newfoundland & Labrador chapter of Airheads. I'm a big ADV guy and go to the CroMag rally in VT whenever I can. I will be using the forums to help advertise for the Moto B&B my missus and I are turning our house into. We plan to be open for spring so come on up!

MOA from '84 to '93, let it lapse when Post Office screwed up a change of address and wasn't riding much anyway. Re-upped when I bought my 11S in 2014, because S made me want to ride more. Been to the SLC Nat'l Rally, used the premium towing twice for fuel line F-ups on my part. Highly worth it. The monthly mag is good for a couple hours each time it comes but hardly can't live without it. 11/12S sightings rare at rallies and in magazine. A bit of an orphan, but not as bad as the 1200C.
Median/mean age of MOA is rising like the oceans. Airhead, GS and RT types getting older, and who in their right minds wants to ride our weird shyte anyways? Younger S1000RR and R9T types not so clubby. AMA from early 80s to about 2000, just didn't re-up once and didn't miss it a bit, though it was my last magazine pipeline to general bike knowledge. No longer heard about new bikes (yawn). |

Joined MOA in '82 when I had my R90/6. I used to love the travel and airhead repair articles in the monthly mag. My membership continued until last week when I let it lapse. I looked at over a years worth of the mag still unread/unopened in their plastic protectors and decide I didn't need to be a member anymore.

Joined the MOA several years ago. I'm in the anonymous book and enjoy the magazine. Haven't gone to any rallies. Tried a riding club in the area, nice folks but I found the pace too fast for my liking.

I never joined MOA or RA, I'm just not the club type. Frankly, with the exception of a group of riders here I always ride alone. It's just how I do.

MOA since the '70s, RA off and on. Just for the magazine, which before and since Sandy was/is amateur night.

I was an MOA and RA member from '74-86. Early magazines were good with lots of tech. Got tired of "What I did on my summer holidays" articles later on.
Last BMW rally was about '88......both my buddy and I said "If I ever talk about going to another BMW rally, kick me"! Haven't been to a rally or joined since. Cheers

They didn't want to ride with me last year. Only showed up to drink my beer and eat my food.
All I got out of it was a Trump doll! ![]() ![]() Cheers

He can't stay off his bicycle long enough to make it to TOR.
