Rough As Guts

Within 2,000 kms of the last service my bike ('98 Yellow 35,000kms, no mods) was running like ****.
At idle it would range between 1200 - 1600 rpm, running rough at the lower revs. It was surging badly at low revs and at higher revs when cruising the engine vibrations were noticeably pulsing stronger and weaker.
I took it back to the workshop - they said they hooked it up to the analyser and couldn't find anything wrong but it now runs like a dream - smooth idle just above 1,000 rpm, no surging or pulsing.

I'd love to know what changed ... any suggestions?

Thanks - WAMO

I once had that problem...turned out to be the throtle cable going to my right TB had gotten pulled during a wrenching session and wasn't seated. It's amazing how sensitive the TBs are to synch.

Thanks Carlos. That animated gif of yours has a very similar appearance to the pulsing feeling I was getting :-)
