I mounted mine where the tire repair kit used to live.

I cut off the original mounting ears and used velcro to mount it on the bottom and a piece of foam on the top to make a snug fit with the top cover.

I trimmed the sides of the cover so that the wires won't be pinched.

This view shows the cable routing I use on the dyno (with the seat installed) so that the cable doesn't get caught in the rear wheel or melted on the exhaust.

I did not know there was a PC available for the S. What else can you say about this setup. What gains, etc. BTW, doesn't removing the tire repair kit void the BM warranty ; )

Hey Eron;

Thanks for the info; I was thinking that you would have to cut the mounting ears off, but wanted to make sure before I went and did
it.

Well there isn't one available from Dynojet. I figured out how to make one of their units work on my S and now San Jose BMW is selling a kit to do the same using the information I gave them. What gains depends on the setup of your bike and how close your mapping is now. If you have a good chip that suits your setup then the gain would be zero. If you have an odd setup like I do then we are talking 5-6 HP and much smoother running. Follow the link below to two previous threads that will tell the whole story about how the PC3 for BMWs came about.

SJ Power Commander

PS My bike is out of warranty...
