Cool

I got all of my pads changed recently at Motohansa.

I'm fairly sure that they only use SBS - The scintered metal variety - front & back.

Kempy,
I think that all pads squeal in these things. I pull mine out ( my brake pads you mongrels, before onyone says something) every so often and clean everything up, then give the pins and the back of the pads a thin covering of loctite 771 high temp never-seize, making sure that none of it comes in contact with the pad face. And I mean a thin coating.

The pads I use are EBC which are marketed here in OZ as Goodridge. I get them from John Stamanas ph 0754477411.

Kempy,

Yep, they still squeal when the bike is coming to a slow stop, not as much as the standard though.

Hey that's an impressive bike collection you have there - Just noticed it. Must have a good sized garage.

thanks for your replies...

yes Don the garage gives me some looking pleasure...unfortunately I built a 2 car garage not knowing at the time how much room I would need in the future...no room in it for any cars at the moment...

the AJS is the next project...the Vincent is unrestored original condition...the duke I restored a couple of years ago & in my opinion is better than new...

if I can figure out how to post a pic...

BASTARD !!!! (See the green with envy)

I'm fairly sure that I have seen your Duke around Sydney. I was just coming over the Gladesville Bridge & I saw a 900 Duke coming the other way. It kind of looked like it had just rolled off a production line.

Well done mate, looks like you have done a super job.

I use EBC HH pads on my bike - I am very happy with the results and I have no squealing problems at all.

Kempy - I too am green with envy over your bike collection. Very nice indeed!!

Cheers

i ran ebc hh in mine and the first set squealed like a really wild pig. of course, they got bedded in in about 3.5 seconds (forgot they were new). the second set i was much nicer to and they didn't squeal except for a little just as you stopped.

i think i still have both sets somewhere, i put the std ones back in when i off loaded it. i think.

the std pads are hh rated too.
