Laguna Seca Noise Restriction

I have a track day at Laguna Seca in June and have heard mixed information about the noise limits allowed. I know what the actual db limits are, I just don't know if my bike will be under them. I run a Remus exhaust with the SJ Powerfilter and Induct. Anyone have experience at Laguna Seca with modified exhaust? If so did you have any problems with the noise limits? I still have my stock exhaust system but really don't want to reinstall it to do a track day. I think I would rather just roll off the throttle or grab another gear between turn 5 and 6 where the sound shack is located if I had a problwm with my setup. Any thoughts?

I was out there last summer with Pacific Track Time when LS was being particularly strict. They pulled everyone together after lunch (eating into track time!) and called out number plates that were busting the limits.

I was running Staintunes without the baffles and didn't have any problems. I wasn't even on the marginal list as given by the LS guy. I'm also running the In-Duct and FIM chip. Full throttle past the shack wasn't a problem. They also had the mobile unit out that day.

I'd say unless the Remus is a lot louder than the Staintunes, you won't have a problem.

Have fun!

noise

I was there 5 years ago on a stock Ducati and got pulled over twice for noise. I had to spend the day short shifting from turn 5 to 6 past the noise guy.
Of course in the last session I said what the hell and I let her rip every lap.

Well, I was there two weeks ago ( the 14th ), running a Vanderlinde, and no problem.

Thanks Andy...that helps me get some perspective on this. I don't think the Remus is louder than Staintunes w/o the baffles installed.
