Question 1100s w/ Prelli Diablos???

Anyone running these tires, the straight diablos?
120 front, 180 rear with 5.5" rim.
will pick up bike after 5k service in a few days.
Did not care for the Mz4's , i am hoping this will be a big improvement.
The edges o the front tire sure were getting scrubby looking.
Whats that about?

I do. Almost 2K and very little sign of wear. Not as sticky as the 010 expecially the front but enough for scraping knees on the street. I am very impressed by the wear. The 010 with the same milage were 60% gone. So far this has been the best compromize tire I've head. I might try the Z6 next just for comparison.

Ditto what Nitro said. I've got 1K on mine with very little wear. 010's are the best, Diablos wear better, trying Z6's next.

I'm running Diablos. They're Okay, but nothing special. My anecdotal assessment is that Pilot Sports perform better for the same mileage, and Pilot Roads perform as well with better mileage.

I doubt I can get the same milage out of the Pilot Sports than the Diablos. I have not run them on the S but I had them on my Buell and they were shot after 3500 like the 010. Also IMO they are really bad on wet but fantastic on dry; they also take longer to worm up than the 010.

Yes the Diablo are not a sticky but getting 2-3K more on a tire means a lot to me.

Again I would like to know how they compare to the Z6.

I have them on my street tires and ( corsa's ) on my track wheels.
After three sets of Sportec's, I find them about the same, but with a little quicker turn-in ( due to profile difference ), and maybe a scosh quicker to warm up.
I like 'em.

I have P/D Corsas on my CBR1000 and Metz M1's on my S: Love the M1's. Nice neutral steering, great traction. The Corsas, on the other hand, could probably stick to the ceiling. They do tend to fall into turns a bit. But once in the turn, they are terrific.

since adding the R6 and running sportecs on both to get used to the bike, looks like i will try the roadtecs next on the S and go with diablo corsas on the R6. the regular diablos are supposed to be pretty much the same as sportecs. just about identical...pirelli is just metzler and vice versa.
