AFR Monitoring & Setting the TPS
Many (6) on the forum participated in a group buy for the LM-1;
www.innovatemotorsports.com This occurred in February. I may have missed the feedback thread about its use. So has anyone used the unit for setting the TPS, checking what the various AFRs are for the "chips", seeing how much the Power Commander affects it? I saw a thread where someone wanted to sell his unit, but nothing else. Also, I've yet to see any discussion of scanners to access the Motronic fault codes on the R1100S. All the techies should have solved this issue, as the many problems mentioned on this forum could be better understood having the fault codes or accessing the Motronic data. Many scanners can access the real time data, e.g. timing, injection times, & etc. For my Ducati, I use a PDA to access the real time parameters of the injection system. So where's the high tech stuff for the R1100S? Everyone talks about chips, exhausts, & PCs, but few really know what the real effect of each is. We see modest HP gains (5 - 8), but at what overall engine compromises/faults, e.g. pinging? |
