Cat Code plug

Been running my S awhile now with a Laser chip and Ztechnic exhaust. Runs like a fine Swiss,,,,er, German watch.

While spending 1/2 a morning trying to find the fuse block, I came upon the CCP under the left tupperware in the relay box. Mine was/is yellow. Its still yellow but now resides in my saddle bag.

Mid range roll on has improved considerably. Fuel milage seems to be down just a bit. Nothing to complain about mind you at 39 mpg on a mixed city, secondary road tank of gas.

Just curious, the instructions that came with the chip made no mention of the CCP. I was not unhappy with performance before and really like the newfound torque. Need I concern myself with fluffing plugs and the like?

Any knowledge is welcome. I don't mind hearing from others who have done the mod. Idle speculators with opinions garnered from reading BMW handouts need not apply.

Ed

I think you've already learned all there is too learn. Slightly better bottom end and midrange (very slight, in my experience) and slightly reduced mileage in mixed mode riding. Significantly reduced mileage in steady state highway mileage, but who wants to do that anyway
Plugs will come out darker, but won't foul, in my experience.

Thanks Roger,
Just the kinda data I'm looking for.
I might just put it back. Performance gain is not THAT dramatic that I would hate to lose it. Not in light of the ever increasing cost of go juice.
