Non Slip Bike Seat

Just installed one of these. My wife cannot believe the difference it makes to the standard Teflon seat.

Highly recommended!

Neil

Don't have the time now (at work) but will have to search to see if there is a USA distributor. Looks like a very well thought out product, and simple. (Hit self in head - why didn't I think of that?!!!)

Here is another slant on non-slip seats:
An important part of riding is the ability to shift your weight to the inside of a turn. At the extreme, this = hanging off. Racers often use talcum powder to make their butt slide easier.
If you need to shift weight quickly, do you really want a non-slip seat impeding you?
Perhaps a non-slip seat is great during straight line riding (although I can't imagine why), but ...

if you take a look at the product, you will see it is only for the pillion and it makes a whole lotta sense having the girlie friend slide forward under sudden braking.

even when i have her on the back, i still move around the seat in corners.

wouldnt mind getting one of these as well.

Repoe: Ok. Should have looked before I spoke. Does make sense in that case. I never double-pack. How would I know?

But "girlie friend"? Hmmm.

looks like a cheap piece of non skid rubber from Lowes with a piece of nylon sewn around the perimeter. Think I have some of that stuff, may have to break out my daughters sewing machine this weekend:-) I wonder if my wifes bottom will have the textured look of a waffle after sitting on it for a few hours...

I have been using the same material tucked under the seat since last September when a friend on a Honda VFR 800 was using it for his passenger. It works great.

Texas: a US distributor for Lowe's? remember, in the world of motoring, someone is always trying to find a new, unnecessary way to separate you from your $. make it yourself (such self-satisfaction there is in that), or just go for the Rick Mayer upgrade, and get a seat that is actually comfortable.
WS: waffle-looking wifey butt? have her wear pants, rather than just panties. unless of course that is the look & feel you are going for. of course, YMMV.
