How about a real, only slightly OT, topic
A freind of mine wants to buy new bike. His choices have been narrowed down to a 900ss and Speed Triple. Even though I love air cooled twins, I am steering him towards the S3. Any thoughts, sexy Italian of cool Brit?

He was riding a cafed to hell and back KZ550 for the last couple years til it blew up for the last time. I've seen him ride the latest and greatest so I have no doubt in his ability to handle either of these bikes.

I had the choice -Ducati or Speed Triple. Red Ducati Monster or Black Speed Triple. Had to go with the Monster. There's just more beauty in it and cool stuff to look at.

the triple is a cool motor.... had one of those. I'd have to recommend the Duc though from a "more personality" perspective.

Duc, no contest.
B factor is much higher, depends on his budgetary situation also.

He just sold his nicely hot rodded Dart so money for a used example of either is not a problem.

You just go back to the ladies of Ducati and study the 900ss, and then find an equivalent on the Triumph!

Duc or Triple???????????
I had the Speed Tripple and loved it! But I also have a 2000 monster 750 in sexey Desmo red. I need to find a new home for it to make room for a 748. Wife wants more bling bling. Anybody interested? ~P

I would go for the Speed triple I think it's really cool with the 3 cilinder engine sound.I would only go for the Monster if it was a blue and white S4R you know the one with the single sided rear swing cause that one is one of the most beautifull stock bikes I've ever seen.

Your friend needs to ride both bikes and see which one rings his bell.
