Late Notice - Jersey Meet - 7/27/04 - JR Cigar, Whippany
Turns out that shovelstrokeed is going to be in Jersey on Tuesday night on his way back to Florida from Colorado (I think). Ed, myself, and a couple others are going to meet at 7:30 at:
J R Cigars, 301 State Route 10 Whippany NJ 07981 (973) 884-9555 For those that don't know, JR is a neat place. It's an old airport hanger that has been converted to a giant humidor, complete with bar and restaraunt. Anyone want to join us for stogeys, drinks and a bite to eat -- not to mention lies, tall tales, and general mischief? |

Chances are I'll be in the cage. I need my car today so unless there's time for me to get the bike between work and JR's, then I'll be in the cage.
I'll wear a motorcycle T-shirt so you can find us. |

eff, sorry, but it happened already. it was a last minute thing.
good news is, I'm up for a return visit if folks are interested. I suggest a Thursday or Friday night this time though, it turns out JR closes way too early Mon through Wed. |

I say a Friday. I am off (in NYC) at 5:30PM this Friday. Could be there by 6:30PM. Or another Firday.
I have a buddy who works at the BMW dealer up the block (10 minutes) if we wanted to look at cages afterwards. Need to get a box of J&R Ultimate oscuros and a mini-humidor ($20) for a coworker. -Eff |

Another option to consider is Somerville on Friday nights.... The local car clubs take over Main Street to show off their toys. Lots of bikes but never (OK rarely) any BMW's. Plenty to look at, plenty to eat. I try to ride through whenever I'm free.
