Question about mounting Ventura Rack

I bought this rack a few years ago and never put it on my S. I was going to take off my BMW bag mounts and put this on for short trips. Well I never got around to it and now I'm selling the rack. I laid the rails along side the BMW and can't see what there using for mounting points. Anyone have a diagram or could take some pics? Is mine the right mount?

BTW. For Sale $85

From my files...what I have, Joe. Hope it's not too big. Good luck.

uh huh.....where were you when I had my Prep?

I've had Ventura stuff since '96 or so - used on my T595, XX, etc and until I found system cases for a good price, I was gonna do Ventura again on the R1100S...

Joe- if someone buys it, they can contact Amy at Ventura, and i suspect she would send them the instructions page for mounting.

Thanks for the info Guys... I couldn't see the mounting point in the back under the bodywork Don's pic cleared that up.

Blakebird.....well at least the racks are interchangeable between different bikes so if you need a rack for one of your bike of the month club I'll give you a good deal.

To maintain the optimum load distribution the Ventura Pack should be faced forward (as shown) when riding solo. Simply face pack rearwards when riding with a passenger.

For you "S" owners that don't have the need for large cases or permanent luggage mounts the Ventura are a great alliterative. Especially mine at $85 for that trip you take once a year.

So how about a discount on a new surround on a 10" AR-14 speaker?...or maybe both?
.
The Ventura system is the best aftermarket luggage I've owned, bar none. An excellent compliment to the BMW system cases.

not true Joe. Ventura makes different racks to fit different bikes, and sizes do vary. i suspect that many are interchangeable, but would certainly not count on the S version being automatically usable on other bikes. when i got mine, i ordered the grab rail piece from Ventrua. they sent me the wrong one, and there was absolutely no way- short of welding or cutting- that it was gonna fit.

Fat chance Be careful if you order a surround repair kit for the AR's they might have a 10"cone but are in a 12"basket there is 1" spacer ring to the cone The same large AR's were used in my DQ10's that needed a 12"repair kit.

Joe thx I think
