Throttle sync question
I bought a Twinmax and I've read every throttle sync
and TPS thread along with the links posted. None of the articles mention anything about the RH throttlestop. Is it to prevent the throttle from sticking at rest. I know RH barrel adjuster is for synching that side, when and why would one adj. the RH throttle stop?

One caveat that I have come up with.
I can't say that this will work with a Twinmax, but with a manometer I noted that you want to set the left and right butterfly valves, using the barrel nuts on the cables at the throttle bodies, first. The way you can tell this on a manometer is there will be a difference if the column heights but the levels will not change at different RPMs. Set this first. Blipping the throttle won't cause any change in levels. Then set the brass air screws to get an equal height in the columns, and get the idle RPM set where you want it at the same time. On a Twinmax I would guess that changing RPMs on the engine would not cause the needle to change positions if the bufferflies are set right. It won't be centered, but it won't move. I did that, as it seemed the logical thing to do, and found that it took very little time to get everything running smooth. Best of luck.

Good point...with the Twin Max I usually do it in reverse (Screws and then higher RPM adjust appropriate cable). But your way would alleviate my secondary step. I have mercury sticks that I use on the flying bricks. Twin Max is a little handier though....
Thanks for the tip! Cheers Tomas
