love to hook up with you for that ride, but i'm teaching a BRC at Front Range Comm College in Westminster this weekend.
and my 18 yo son is completing his BRC class on the other range there, and will be getting his license- something i've been looking forward to for just over 18 years! we went for our first ride together (each on our own bikes- he rode passenger with me starting at age 7) on Friday- ran him up thru Horsetooth Resv and up into Stove Praire. words don't describe the feelings! maybe next time tho.

Good plan and idea, but Sundays (church) don't work well for me. Think a Front Range S gathering would be cool. Returned yesterday from three days in western CO... Dolores Canyon, Million Dollar Highway, San Juan Skyway, Black Canyon, McClure Pass, Independence Pass, etc. WOW.

Hey I may be in the area by Sun. Maybe earlier though. Will be in Great Sandunes NP outside of Alamosa by Thur. Maybe spend Fri there then Sat up through Canyon City on forest service roads. Make my way up to Florissant Fossil Beds/Cripple Creek area sat also. Would like to be in Estes Park by Sat night. Sunday, High tail it to Yellowstone for a 3 day visit then on to Glacier/Banff. If you see a Loaded (Red White and Blue) Dakar, chase me down!!

BTW, I hear the road from Basalt to Ruedi Res (sp?) is excellent. Does pavement end at the reservoir? |

The ride to Ruidi Res. is beautiful! The pavement ends approx. 8 miles past the res. Matter of fact this is the strech of road that got me trully addicted to riding motorcycles.
