JRR - So far so good, no long rides yet. Next week I'll get a 400 miler in and test the arse-end. I put the longer tork arm on to lower and get the seat more level...I seem to still be sliding into the pocket, better when I'm in the leathers. I think he could have made it flatter like the Corbin shown in the pic above.
No coins on a saddlemaker at LS, Corbin will be there prolly, but that's it...you might get lucky...

I haven't had any luck with the off-the-shelf corbin I got for the S; it looks like the corbin is designed for dudes bigger'n my 29-inch-inseam.
My problem is I can't ever seem to co-ordinate with any custom seat maker. ya gotta get an appointment, then spend 1/2 a day there....sounds lovely if I had the time....that's why I'm hoping someone will be at Laguan. At the BMWMOA rally last summer, it was WAY too booked at both those dudes' places with the same last name.

RD; the look of your seat is how I envision mine shoould be. I LIKE the butt-bucket feel of a subastantial hump behind my arse.

cobinski above mayerski below

Just to be clear...that's the standard Corbin in the first pick, flay, good shape, but hard and with ridges at the sides which you wouldn't like if your legs are short(er)...

Your best bet is to just take the day and do the Rick's up on the northside..

This is the Mayer...

it's a slow news day today. and the clock is ticking so slowly the second hand is taking an hour to move each time. My servers are patched and perfect. there's no-one here to care. I wanna leave, and I wanna ride, and I've got to do the family-thingie over the 4th.
This will be the first vaca I've had in 3 years....and I can't wait, as I'm really an overgrown 3-year-old. If I could swing it I'd be leaving for laguna saturday morning instead of tuesday morning. I have seat envy at the moment. Phooey on the weightless wheels, I want a kustom seat carved to the contours of my buttocks-cheeks...

and an overgrown 3-year-old with a 6-pound civil war field cannon in my front yard and motorcycles in my garage. Only I'm not on one of 'em, I'm stuck in some concrete building in a big stinky city. Brunhilda the S is callinig my name and the sound is getting louder...and louder...when the sound drowns out the ringing in my ears, it's time to pull pitch and fly away on two wheels

One seriously good photo. 9/10

If it was draped over with nude chic, then 10/10

'til then. You must try harder.
