R1200S Canadian Release Date Dec 1
I just came back from my local dealer and he just received his itinerary for his BMW dealer meeting on Dec. 1.
Scheduled for this meeting are the R1200S and the HP2. Now given that this is happening in Toronto Canada there is no way this will be the bikes first appearance. Our market is just too small for the world premier of anything.lol Therefore the bike should be making it's debut sometime before Dec 1st. I know there are lots like me awaiting the arrival of this bike. At least it's looking promising now. Gary |

Can only mean it will be introduced in 2 weeks at the Milan motorshow...

I am on for one and have been for some time. Hope to have one in the shop by the end of December..................despite what others have posted. I may not get one till mid spring or summer but for now the word I am getting is that the first 50 or so will be in the States by mid December.

Don't count yer chickens till they're hatched... we have had a zillion false alarms in the past. From what I understand dealers can never be 100% sure....

True and few are more skeptical than myself, but if it is on his agenda for presentation during this meeting, it is a good sign.
He sent me a jpeg of a spy photo that looks nothing like any of the recent ones floating around. Totally different. This spy pic is totally unconfirmed and could just be something he uncovered on the net. Gary

I think BMW needs to hire JohnnyD as their head designer.

...the F800 IS the show stopper ; I think that we have to believe that the R 1200 S is just (...) an updated model based on something "old"..., the R1200 engine meanwhile is old news, our beloved "S" is old news...; it's all old news Hugo...
...question : is there a Motorshow between the show in Milan, and the Amsterdam RAI (in February) ? My dealer wrote in his newsletter that the 1200 S will be on the 2006 RAI...
