Leaking Gearbox Input Shaft Seal

My bike is currently in the local dealers pulled in half with a leaking gearbox input shaft seal. About three weeks ago it started weeping oil from the R/H side between the gearbox and the engine. At that time it was diagosed with a leaking rear main oil seal.
That was a week and a half ago, I was told today that it would be another week or more before the seal arrived on back order from Germany.
My bike has 15,000K's on it, has anyone else had problems with this part?
The only good thing about this is I get to ride my girlfriend's Cagiva Mito EV (A two stroke 125cc miniature 916 for my American friends) to work each day, it makes distinct contrast to the "S".

Seems that leakings gaskets are a major thing on this bikes !, If you see older notes posted here and in other sites (recommend the R11100S owners registry site) most of the times the oil leaks comes from the head gaskets, but this is about the first time that I see a rear oil seal failure on a fairly new bike. Mine has only few kilometers on it, so I cannot tell you about this kind of trouble yet, but be sure to check up the work with your dealer, as this sounds to me as a factory problem.

I had the sme seal go on R1100S. Although it wasat about the 6,000Km mark (Pissed me off because it had just been in for it's 5,000Km service check.) It only took 2 days to get the seal in (usually my dealer stocks this seal.) I've been told, by another R rider, that the factory rear seal has some problems and tends to go early in it's life. However, once replaced the problem never pops its ugly little head up again.

Looks like at 10K I have the same problem. Dealer needs to pull trans. to check rear mail seal. Have to make sure he has parts on hand.

This past May. New gearbox and clutch and rear main seal. Took 3 day's. Dealer couldn't identify if it was the rear main seal or gearbox shaft seal. But guessed that it was the rear main seal with a little coming from the gear box.
