b-day trip planned...

here is the route we plan to take this week to Deep Creek Lake in MD. we have rented a house there once before and my SO wanted to rent the house again for my 30th. we are taking thurs and fri off along with the weekend. so you can see why i have been in a hurry to get the bike up and running.

we took the LOOOOOONG way the last time,

Deep Creek Lake trip w/ pics

when i looked at google maps, it ran a slighty different route but one that shaved some time while keeping the second half on the good stuff. took over 6 hours last time, this route is more like 4 on the road. looking forward to the trip, the house has a hot tub which is great after a day of riding. last time out we picked up some wine and before you knew it, she was out cold. we have not been on a trip like this since the last time and she earned her pillion wings by the fact that the return leg last time was nothing but rain.

Looks like a good ride. If you ever make it down to the southland, and want to take a ride? I'll take you over actually under Backbone Rock which is between Damascus VA. and Shadyvalley Tenn. I think you'll like the roads. By the way how is the bike coming? I HOPE YOU HAVE IT IN TIP TOP SHAPE for the ride?

sounds good, i like adventures on new roads.

as for the bike, still waiting for the PCIII to put her back together. aside from that, there is no reason to think anything else will plague me (knock on wood). still need to spend some time sync'ing the throttle cables in the rev range. hope to have it together tomorrow evening...may even get a shake down run in if it doesnt rain. the forecast isnt looking too good, but we will see.

Better stock up on wine for the girl.... as you will be working on the bike all week.... You will be too tired for any extra curricular activities.

Be sure to get my Leakdown tester back in transit before you take off vacationing...

Ahh, you must mean 133 S from Damascus and then US 421E from Shady Valley to Goose Creek
