Hi, a little late to the thread but just traded a bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape for this 2001 R1100s with just shy of 50k miles, which had been sitting outside in the lovely seaside community of Provincetown MA for at least a winter.

I disassembled to remove the frame section for tigging the tab back on the frame,

My question to you is...I do not see a circlip, is the output shaft tapered, and can I simply urge the u-joint end of the driveshaft off the transmission output shaft?
