This must be BS. He didnt whine about no bags and small gas tank. Was this censored? Someone must have cut out the part about the missing radial brakes and slipper clutch.
And what about the part where he complained that the R12S cant beat a GSXR1000 and cant tour like a Gold Wing? This post has to be a scam. The author shamelessly praises the bike when he should be ripping it to shreds. I'm not buying it.

Also says heated grips are standard equipment. Maybe just for Canada?

It gets cold up here fast.
All CDN model BMWs except mine come with heated grips. BMW didn't think the real race replica needed heated grips for lapping around the circuit.

It's still uglier then the R1100S.
I married for shallow, superficial beauty.

Agree totally with turnerm- this is a total sham!!!!!! Only ignorant BMW owers that don't know any better would call this bike the best bike - I mean come on!? Educated and experienced Beemer owners know that this is ridiculous, the R12S first of all wont sell, people don't like it, every single dedicated BMW owner only owns a BMW bike because they can carry our wives or girlfriends and luggage for like 300mi non-stop. If we wanted anything else we would ride a GIXXER.
Absolute crap - who even reads this on-line mag!

I'm suspicious of anyone that compliments a BMW motorcycle. They are the worse bikes on the planet, and only uninformed suckers like us buy them.
