Another Great sfarson video

Gents,

Happy New Year!

I was forwarded the link to another one of sfarsons great videos from another member over here.

If you haven't seen it, it is quite good.

Hope he doesn't mind my swiping the link from the advrider board.

I find the best way to watch these is to right click and first save on your home PC rather than just watching.

Peculiar People

Thanks Craig... with the snow here cabin fever time had me gathering the '06 images and videos one night, crunching them into a 4:50 thing. A different twist to this one, was seeking permission from ten riders to use their images for a certain section of the song. Very appreciative of that!

Good riding in 2007! Still thinking it would be great for some of us Colorado 11S/12S riders to head your way and either ride Utah or maybe western Colorado this summer. Let's keep this in the back pocket?

I was just roaming around Panguich two weeks ago. On the trail of Butch Cassidy.

Do you know that if you head about 25 miles North up Utah 89 from Panguich between mile posts 156 and 157 (about 1/2 mile South of Circleville) on the West is an abandoned farm and cabin. That is where Butch Cassidy grew up.

"Butch Cassidy, was he a criminal or a folk hero. Hard to tell when you travel through southern Utah. Everyone and everywhere has their stories. One thing is for sure. He grew up in a small cabin, just south of Circleville, between Richfield and Panquitch on Highway 89."

I recommend the Michael R. Kelsey books like "Hiking and Exploring Utah's Henry Mountains and Robbers Roost" for anyone interested in the history of this part of old Utah.

Thanks for the lead Joe. This is something to think about! Will look into and ask a few others down here to see what they think. Stayed in Panguitch May'05 and launched a great and memorable ride to east... the best in class Utah 12, 24 and 95. Itching to return. Maybe a gaggle of us CO riders can head west for this.

How about that. Arrived in Panguitch after working in SLC in the morning, coming down 89 from the north through Circleville. Remember the town. Remember the sage and lonely countryside. Bet it was tough ranching.

When I made the five videos of the trip, one I recorded but didn't post was getting off the bike just south of Circleville and with camera in hand made a 360 degree 22 sec video of the loneliness of the area. Quite beautiful imo.

Hwy 89 360 degrees - 22sec Vid

Hi Steve,

Yet another stunning video, I really look forward to seeing new ones you have done and as I always say, I am right there, ridding with you.

Who sings the song in this video.

Andrew... Good to see you here as well. Always! You know, it was this Utah ride noted above where I took that photo of Factory Butte!

The artist is Mute Math and the track is "Peculiar People". Been hearing the song all year on a CD and thought the words were really relevent for us enjoying two wheels... We're kinda peculiar (That's good!) and we were born to fly.

Thanks for that Steve, the song was very fitting.

On another note, why did you sell the K1200S?

Andrew

Over Juniper Pass to Echo Lake and then chow in Idaho Springs

Philip... It is purposefully kept under construction while I decide what to do with it. Kinda slow about this. Ha! Make it a Pashnit kind of thing/forum for the Rockies? A library of ride images/recordings all can contribute to? Keep it under construction and just link to goodies underneath? You coming out west this year?

Steve,

Yes, will be coming west for sure. We both kick ourselves for not going last year. When and where is not known yet. June sounds good, so does Sept. Can't wait. I hope we can get together when the time comes. Looking forward to meeting you in person.

Philip
