Front preload r12s

I want to adjust the front pre-load on my new r12s. It has the ohlins. Can it be done without taking the front body work off the bike??

Thanks, Matt

You have to remove bodywork only to remove the charcoal canister. Once that is gone, it is reachable.

And removing bodywork couldn't be any easier or quicker than it is on this bike.

It is supposed to be done with the front bodywork off and the charcoal cannister still in place but I sure tried and couldn't even with the mickey mouse lever arrangement that's supposed to work. So.....you basically have to remove the body work (easy!) and the charcoal cannister and then you can get to it pretty well.
PS Edit. As I think about this, watching real race wrenches work on this bike at the track, the easiest way to adjust the preload is to raise the front end, remove the shock and do it on the bench.

...that's how I did it...
