Very nice looking rotors.

Your tire appears to have too much air...

Are those galfers? I need new rotors again on the R1200ST.
The tire does look over inflated Bill.

Very fancy rotors. The right side body panel appears to be slightly misaligned - I advise :loosen the mounting screws, realign the panel and retighten the mounts.

Actually, you don't need shims. You can use the bushings (?) from the R1150R; they are slightly taller as the stock discs of that bike are 5mm instead of the 4.5 of the S.

does that wavy disc mod work with ABS bikes too, or just the non-ABS?

Fairbanks Alaska.
I ride my KZ1300 to work at Alaska Fun Center (world's farthest north kawasaki shop) at 9 AM. It's 54 degrees F out.
1PM. It's down to 43F.
2 PM. It's 37 degrees, complete overecast and the barometer and thermometer is falling.
3 PM; It's 31 F and the large soft pretty white flakes (of snow, natch) are falling.
12 midnight; it's 20F and a 3-inch-per-hour whiteout is cooking.
It didn't quit snowing till the next april; record snowfall that year. Great snowmachining, a sure cure for all this frakking civilization and I miss it so sometimes.
I know ya can't go back but it was a real trip while it lasted...

We have lots of roads, one that heads south and dead ends in four hours ,two that run north and meet in Fairbanks .North of Fairbanks a GS would be the smart move . One road out of this state. I rode them all lots of times on a GS- K1200 GT -1100s ,up a down the Alcan six times on a bike. Now I keep a bike in Idaho and fly out for winter R&R . I like global warming

Down here in southern AZ we have snow birds from Idaho looking for good weather.

I guess it is all about perspective.

Nice plate.
I spent two years working for Tundra Copters out of Fairbanks. I've been up and down the same roads. I miss the Northern Lights, I don't miss the ice fog.

ICE FOG!!

Only once in my life have I dealt with something like that. 'twas way up new york state near the canadian border. Drove into a fog bank at dusk and the fog froze onto my faceshield!!!! So I lifted the shield and the fog froze onto my eyeglasses!!!!! Then I got sideways on the bike(my old Kawi triple) slid to the side of the rode and dumped it on the soft shoulder. Jeez that sucked.

Up date . Y pipe is on , had to wait for the new clutch cable to show up and install it first. The rear wave rotor is on back order for now. Making a mount for the wire loop that holds the rear brake line away from the tire , that should be done tonight. Pulled the gas charcoal canister off and it looks better that way. Will be shopping for rear turn signal next
