A lot of R1200S Buyers Lately

Seems like.

For such an unwanted, unpopular bike.

Maybe like the R1100S in it's early years the good pricepoiint was reached.

Had to ride the I-85 slab to Charlotte this morning. Had a choice of 87 Toyata pickup, 85 R80, 04 R11SA, or 07 R12S. Took the R12. I pulled into my favorite safe parking spot at the outpatient VA Ctr. and found a ten dollar bill. On my way back up the slab the miliage count down started when I pulled into a rest area. When I left it was off. I decided to see how far I dared go before stopping for gas. It turned out to be 207.4 with 17 mi. left on the count down. I put 4.208 gal. in at the pump. That works out to roughly 49.287 mi. per gallon. That is 3 more miles farther than I ever went on the R11S. What a great day!! tjs

Motorcyclist refers to the edurance racing version of the 12S as "a special twin-cam version of [its strong-selling R1200S streetbike].............
