Rear Hugger?

Is the carbon rear hugger the only one out there? I really think I need one, but I'm not sure I want to spend over $300 for one and it would be the only carbon part on the bike.Let alone trying to explain it to the wife.

Sierra BMW has the Ilmberger for ~$260. Not cheap. Pyramid used to make a plastic one for ~100, but they seem to the have fallen off the face of the earth.

...only a bit cheaper than the CF one...
...a non carbon hugger...

http://www.motorradzubehoer-hornig.de/de/019_01908__BMW_R_1200_S__Rear_Hugger.html#

...199 Euro...

...and it doesn't look half as good...

...I have the CF one, but because I didn't like a carbon part on the bike, I had it painted black...
...a bit pricy ; but it looks good...

Pyramids should still be available here http://www.streetfightersbydesign.com/streetweb/contact_page/contact_pg.htm. Their website is not as informative as it used to be.

I just ordered one of these from a place called Boxer Design. I agree that carbon fibre looks somewhat out of place on this bike. Funny how things change.

Hi btmoto,
if you like I can sell you new ilmberger CF rear hugger for K1200S for $281. I have some connection in europe where I could get Ilmberger parts but it'll take me longer in shipping because the order will be from Europe. If you're ok with shipping taking a little more time than other company like sierra, let me know and I'll gladly get it for you.

PM me if you have any questions.

Great idea. I would think it would take shots from stones much better and not be prone to the crackle that I've seen on some carbon fiber parts. I also like how it's shorter than most of the other huggers that I've seen.
