We don't have 98 RON anymore (not including race fuels 103 RON) and can only get 95. Current price is 1.30 USD/litre, amounting to 4.94USD/US gallon (3.8 litre). So, it seems that South African fuels prices are not that bad!

Hi,
In the UK I think it's about £1 .14 for 95 and £1.20 for 97+ That's (95) 1.43 euro and (97) 1.51 euro. That's (95) $2.25 (97) $2.37 Don't know about diesel, but I think it's about the same as the higher octane fuels. These are the prices in my local garage which is reasonable, you can add 4p to the prices just by visiting a Service Station on the Monopoly, sorry motorway. So US gallon of Texaco 97 = $9 dollars a US gallon. How much are you paying? Adrian |

As of today, 5/26/08 the prices I'm seeing for “91 Octane” in southern California ranges from about $4.07 to about $4.40, I have not paid attention to lower grades or diesel because my A4 2.0T and 12S don’t use it. As for the high gas prices here in the US, I see a pretty strong division in opinion/reaction, with approximately half the people saying “other nations have been paying it, so why not us” while others like myself like the old prices. Regardless, I find that “all/most” people here don’t’ like paying these prices for it has effected there life style in some way or another and has increased the cost of goods we purchase on almost every level.
