HP2 Sport Dyno runs
Thought you all might enjoy this. Chris's Dyno typically reads conservative.
![]() Mobil 15/50 Synthetic oil from the first start, engine seems bullet proof, full throttle break in.

140hp? Umm... is this a stock HP2S or one he fiddled with?
And why is he doing this with triple digit temps outside? ![]()

Wow! What is that, 20-25 hp over stock? That thing has to be a rocket.

SergioK, that is the HP2 Sport that San Jose races, very tricked out.
There is a big difference between a motor that you just build for peak HP as in a drag racer and one that has to race lap after lap on a very hot track like when they raced at Infineon with an air temp of over 100F. Heat management becomes a real limiting issue with an Air Cooled engine. The San Jose Bike is lighter than stock as well.

154 HP at the Crank. Bravo for this stellar effort from the Premier American San Jose BMW Racing Team. Still more can be done however and I bet Chris is already making plans. Lighter valve train, ceramic coating where needed, hyper mist injectors, variable length intake track, ect.
