What oil are you using? Synthetic or Conventional?

I'm coming up on my first DIY oil change with my 'new to me' 2004 R1100S BCR.
I'm just curious as to what oil you guys have found works well/should be used with this bike?
Thanks.
Sean

Castrol Full Synth per the book post 6K miles.
My bike uses next to no oil, maybe a 1/2 pint in 1500 miles.

Thanks guys. I've been riding more than I thought. The mileage is actually a whopping 7450
So, Castrol full synthetic or Mobil 15w 50?
Will either be fine?
Sorry for the seamingly easy question, but this is my first bike and I've not been very mechanically inclined in the past (woodworking is my gig), but very willing to learn and try.
Thanks

Also, with which ever syn. oil you go with it`s good for 6000 miles. Unless you are racing, 6k is fine, some people will say that is crazy... because their grandfather changed oil every 3k.

Regards,
Lane

OK, so maybe a dumb question, but is there any need to use "motorcycle" oil in these bikes considering the dry clutch?

+1 for Mobile 1 15W50 - available all day long in 5 quart jugs from Wal-Mart for about $23.
I change mine every 5,000 miles because it's easier to look at the speedo and see, 80000 and say, OKAY, time to change the oil. Or 75000, or 10,000.
