I'd own one of these in a heart beat. Not a first year model for sure, but yes, I'm interested. I think black would be the color, but I like the Red White and Blue. Especially if the price is south of $13,000.
I thought the Honda VFR 800 25th edition in Red White and Blue looked good too. |
...6 foot? yo gotta be kidding! I thought he was at least6'2" or so...

you just be getting shorter. ;)

Where did the $13K price come from? How does anyone think BMW ( bring money with ) can deliver a high performance bike for anywhere near 13K? A base R1200S was in 14k and change. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/nono.gif

the cost to be on top!
This is what someone said to the question whether someone had already ordered one!
"I am one, maybe even number one.... in Canada at least. Where in the U.S. are you located? $18,999.00 Canadian dollars is what is on my sales documents." http://www.bmwk1200s.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8425 |
The price in the US will be under $14 K.

OOh err - Nice Bum, Honey! http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k.../SKRR/rear.jpg :) |
Those forks alone are worth $10k. The sound of the engine on the official site makes me thing big bang engine (see new R1). If this bikes sells for less than $15k it will not have those forks for sure.
|
The only reason this is an exciting bike ....
... is because it's build by BMW... It looks good, but nothing special. Maybe (I sure hope, I would be even more dissapointed if there was'nt) there's some interesting technology inside. HJ |
Looks like first sneak peak at the production S1000RR:

I love the sound of straight cut gears.
There will be a S1000RR at the up comming big So Cal motorcycle show and a good chance at the Nor cal Show. |
Any note taken on the variable cam timing design, or how it works? Does IT NOT HAVE vct?! How can this be, what with no vct?

Been out of touch, what with my son's recent accident, and may have missed it. My information months ago said VCT was a for sure and I posted here............just hope I was not wrong.
|
You were right Doc, it hasn't been confirmed by BMW yet but MOTORRAD wrote it has double VANOS "double-VANOS system, the timing of the intake and exhaust cams are continuously variable throughout the majority of the rpm range"
