Part/year compatibility question

Hello all,
I've just started my winter project of fixing up a damaged 2004 bmw R1100s. Most of the damage is in the front-end and I'm wanting to know what year parts are compatible. Items I'm most interested in are:
headlight
instrument cluster
left/right side plastic pieces
windscreen

Can I use parts from older/newer years for replacement?

I'm pretty sure the parts you mention are the same for all model years. Just variations in colors for the panels and heights for the windshields, but they all are interchangeable.
