Nothing says "this isn't really a Kawayamagixxer, no matter how much it tries to look like one" like a black/silver/beige paint job. The Buick of Sport Bikes... I love it! :D

jduke 02-03-2009 07:06 PM

Where's the Blue and White version????

shreddr 02-03-2009 07:08 PM

i wonder what its gonna look like without the pregnant guppy exhaust? might look like the fairing is half gone.

If I where an R1 or GSXR kind of guy that thing would probably appeal, but as an R1200S owner and lover it holds no interest for me, and I suspect that most boxer owners would feel the same. It’s not just the look it’s the whole concept, no sale BMW.

Having said that there appears to be some good design in this bike, the under engine exhaust (Buel style) is a nice touch IMHO (assuming that’s what it has), I really dislike a big can hanging off one side.

I like these pics more.

But that may have something to do with Ann Kathrin Ruhl too. ;)

some news:

That version looks like it belongs in a Batman movie, yuk.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

As a comparison:
The Honda CBR1000RR in Germany costs 13,990 euro.

In other words, it is significantly more expensive than the Big Four. So in order to make it a sales hit, it not only needs to be better than what the Big Four offer, it has to be dramatically better.

Street S1000RR is rather ugly but I want it. Besides Blade is quite ugly as well but is the best rocket thing out there.

Appears that ugliness is the new design trend (since there's no Designers worth the name around).

a coupla hunge EU more than the R1 is also what's being thrown around - so, does that sound right TM?

It will def have to be some sort of amazing machine with some special stuff - not many will buy on hype alone...and if it's the most expensive - the points of difference will want to be sharp - he he

edit) if traction control package (and the like) puts it too high $$ - could be a dead duck - just because I have a deposit like many many others - doesn't mean people will hand over the moola just because
