the next step should be struts, a wheelie bar and an electric shifter.
look into street-legal drag tires. kosman engineering can widen the stock rear wheel. you can lean really hard on a vmax before it needs rods. very fun straight line gunner:) |
More pics of the progress...as you can see I have the purge coming out from the headlight. That should startle some people at the lights:D

the last time I worked on drag-race goofball bikes (I mean that in a good way) we hooked up a windshield washer tank and pump under the seat and had the tube dump out in front of the rear wheel, on the ground.
filled up the washer bottle with either bleach for a great bleach burnout, or (when you're drunk) gasoline for a fire burnout. I forget how much safe fun you can have with drag racers. Must be a good streetrace scene in chi-town. Pro'lly cash bets going down all oveer the place, no? |

I go out to byron dragway to do the serious stuff BUT I really enjoy beating the hell outta the harleys with the max. They see me next to them, see the yamaha emblem and think NOTHING of it. Then when the light turns green I leave them about 60 buslenghts behind they wonder what the hell just happened:eek: I even got a special plate a few years back when I bought my rocket III to help induce the carnage... Let me know how you like it...:D http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1236395105.jpg |
