I have to imagine that it was never seated properly after the previous reassembly. Perhaps you should ask the dealer to reassemble it, properly this time, at their expense. Were I the dealer, I'd gladly provide that service.

This is a major reason why I do my own work. I just don't trust anyone else. If they couldn't get it right the first time, can they the second time?

Just pull off the final drive. Take the drive shaft out clean and lube with honda moly 60 and put it back together. Like Bill say's it gives you a chance to check for damage.

You couldn't be more right. At the ripe old age of 37 I have learned one thing "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself". I called in sick today and pulled it apart. There was a little damage inside the swingarm but the splines on the trans output shaft and the drive shaft look good. Just a bunch of aluminum shavings from the yoke slapping around inside the swing arm. I made sure the drive shaft had the keeper ring engaged and buttoned it up. I still have to put on the wheel and exhaust but I want to polish the exhaust while I have it off. It's frustrating when you pay someone to do a job then have to go back and make it right. Whatever...live and learn.
