Roll Call? GEORGIA MOUNTAIN RALLY
Spoke with Bill Mundis yesterday. We wondered who was coming to the Georgia Mountain Rally? Thought I'd post up so we Pelicans attending will know what to expect?
BTW Bill Mundis rides over almost yearly from Kansas City to attend the GMR. It would be great to see a great group of Pelicans there this year. ![]()

Dee, I'm concerned about the weather. lol I'll be arriving in Hiawassee on Wednesday. Bill, it's the first weekend in May. Some Pelicans will be arriving on Thursday, however.

I heard rumors that Dean of Show Low will be out the middle of April, curious if he'll be able to attend along with Swarty and some of the others that can't normally make it? Got to say the roads are awesome!!!

About 5 or 6 riders from Savannah are heading up Thursday and camping on Bubba's site. (he has a trailer and it has been known to rain during GMR....)

Rally Time!
Hey, I'll be there in my "going crazy" position.
It is May 1 through 3. But you can come early for the rally camping rate. And the Ramada is in walking distance and is giving a special rally rate (make sure you ask for that). Y'all all need to come on .... we are getting a lot of last minute registrations... we are up to the two hundred mark now-- possibly a record for pre-registrations! We are still allowing pre-registrations even though the deadline for that has passed. Weather is going to be nice. We have several very good seminars planned including a brown bag lunch with Nate Kern showing slides and talking about his racing alll over the worls, tracks, and the machines he has ridden.... should be interesting. Hawk Hagebak , the guy that wrote MOtorcycle Adventures, the touring route book, will be there doing a talk and a ride. Tom Crain Fri night in the music hall. Steaks Sat evening and a bonfire afterwards where you can smoke a stogie and listen to the old-time story teller ( no , not Beemer rider)... Curve should be there. CHeck out our giant ad in the OTL magazine (Riders association). And the March MOA has our announcement but I can't find the ad -- anyone seen it? Grand Prize is a BMW riding suit wirth about $1300. --- Really nice! Pre-registering prize is a black Kermit Chair with new rally design on back. We have at least two sets of tires to give away. And much more! This should be a good rally, folks......... come help us make it so... Go to www.bmwmoga.info to see more .... And..... what is the tally for Pelican Rally roll call, then? dp- Rally Chair

Bubba, did you check that with Ralf first? I believe he's taken on the responsibility of proofing everyone's posts for accuracy....

Nail -
I have a reservation. Are you no longer staying there? BTW, since you're from GA. (and to anyone else in GA.), what's the staus of I-75 south of Macon? Every time I'm on that road, it's f***ed up, e.g., lane closures, bad pavement, construction. It's the fastest route, but I hate the ordeal, so I'm considering I-95 into GA., then over to US441 north. Although I'm leaving FTL at 6 a.m., I'm concerned that I'll get in real late Friday if I ride US441, although it would be a nicer ride, I'm sure. I prefer to avoid night riding. What do you think?
