OT: Bluetooth Conversion
Does anyone have a better than layman's knowledge of Bluetooth applican to audio conversion. I'm trying to find out if you can take the audio output to my RT speakers and my V1 and hook it directly to a Bluetooth dongle for transmition to a bluetooth helmet. I'm confused by the mp3 ipod stuff.

If you want multiple audio sources mixed into one feed, you'll need either a passive or active mixer. Several years ago I purchased a MixIt2 MixIt2 that does this and it works pretty good. The only problem I have with the unit are the 3.5mm audio connectors (sometimes they aren't seated correctly and the audio isn't piped correctly). From the MixIt2 you can plug in a wiRevo wiRevo that will turn the 3.5mm audio source to a BT signal. You then pair the wiRevo to your BT headset/helmet. I use this setup on the HP2S sans the mixer since I only want the V1 audio on the 2s.

Thank very much Sergio. This gives me the answers to the question. I don't really want to spend a ton of money on a audiocom.

I have no idea what's going on with the board software; you'll have to copy/paste the URLs.

Bubba, the autocoms are not always that expensive, scored mine on ADV rider for little money... you can also use a simple chatterbox, that does the trick as well... and those you can pick up for less than $50 at times... also on flea bay.
You still have to use the WiRevo or something similar for the BT part of it...

Bubba, make sure both the sending and receiving end of the BT support A2DP or the sound will suck. Personally, I hate BT for anything other than voice transmission. I would prefer a wired setup over BT any day. No interference, much better quality, and reliability is in a totally different league. In fact, I will be hardwiring my GPS to the Autocom this winter for just that reason.

You might also want to check out the Amplirider, I've had one for a couple years with no problems. You'll have to get the isolation transformer for the V1 which I think they sell for around $15. http://www.electric-avenues.com/amplirider.html
