Loose hose

There are 2 hoses on the left side on my R1100S.One of them come from the tank. The other one(smaller diameter)is disconected and it's loose.Any ideas where has to be conected?
Thank you

ah...unless I'm mistaken that's the right side...and by the small diameter of it may be the Battery Vent Hose but there are other hoses that connect to the fuel tank venting.

right side hoses

there should be two hoses of the same length there
one is the tank vent, the other drains fuel from the area around the filler

Have you owned the bike long? When did you first notice it?

There is a vent tube on that side; but, it should not be dragging the ground. The fuel drain for tank fuel expansion was routed to the left side on my '04 11S.

If the bike has a sealed battery it is most likely the unused vent hose from the original wet cell battery. tjs

Yep, battery. And disconnected would explain the dragging.
Shops often leave them in place in case an owner ever ends up back with a conventional battery.

yes.. No fuel smell is a good sign it's battery too.
I'd look under the hood to be sure, and then just pull it.
You could also just yank it off. As low as it's dragging, the top can't be connected anyway, so you have nothing to lose.
