BMW E36 electric aerial fitment
I have a 1996 3201 convertible and have just replaced an aftermarket radio & cd changer. I would now like to fit an electric aerial to extend when the radio is switched on. Does anyone know how I would wire this to the radio to allow this to happen? Many thanks in anticipation

Humm. That brings back some memories. If my recollection is correct those radios had a separate wire, but you are talking new technology so most likely it is a feature the radio has or does not have. Check the pin out wiring diagram. You may even need a relay since I doubt the radio will provide full voltage to the antenna motor. Try checking on the BMW car site for more info. Good luck. Dont suppose you will be frenching the antenna in
