 Lucky to unpack the bike at the dealer my self  First ride home ...  @ (in) home with his brother & my daughter !  Happy with the mods on the bike ... Akra  build in a Rapidbike

Jack, how much more HP did you get from the un tuned RBIII to the tuned version? Did you get a baseline value with RBIII before they started tweaking?

Shreddr ... I didn't have a baseline value
(no run with standard bike, because there was only 1000 km on the bike when I've got the Rapidbike I installed with a mapping from the Hartenjager 4 ... later that week I had installed the Akra myself ... but I waited '4500km' for a Run and fine tuning on the Dyno, wanted to first run the bike in !!!)

you misunderstood my question.
how much more HP did you get when you fine tuned the RBIII above the Hartenjager mapping that you started with? I have thought about an RBIII but I don't know a competent tuner. If I thought I could get 95% of the way there with someone elses map I would do it.

 And I've got a RB I ... the other bikes also !!!The first mapping from the Hartenjager 4 had a download error , it was higher in revs (+7000 rpm) a mess  so no readout from the first run ... the first setup was a new download from a map that was previous on the dyno at the same day (Hartenjager 4 replica) that has the same hardware set-up as my bike and the same as the Hartenjager 4 And that base line was less than 5% off what my bike needed/produced The most difference was that the Replica had 1200 km under his belly and mine 4500 km ... that difference in km's gave a couple more HP over the whole range (the tuner said that the Replica gain some more HP when complete run in) Difference at the final run after fine-tuning from the two bikes ...  So ... yesss, there is a possibility to copy a map from another bike that has the same hardware setup ... and having a less then 5% difference But fine tuning is like sugar on the cake  four previous tunings runs ...  Don't know what a Rapidbike III gains more ... (there's no need to chance ignition on the HP2/R12S ...  )ask Afterburn ... he's got difficulties to find a good set-up (RB III) for his K

so you are using the RBI? I am unsure of the differences. I thought the RBI had to be cut into the wiring harness, where the RBII had all the right fittings. Is that correct?

Yesss a RB I !!!
 No need to cut in to the wiring harness, just plug between the right connectors Rapid Bike by Dimsport Technology - Additional control unit for motorbikes (all your questions will be answered) almost all the (BMW) guy's over here use a RB1, I only know one who's use a RB III on his R1200S and that's because he's got a aftermarket quickshifter installed ... there were plenty of dyno ours needed to get it all right  Don't know where (in your neighborhood) you can find a tuner ???

what is the model number of the RBI unit. The Dimsport site only shows one unit that fits the R1200S which is KRBEVO-019D, is that the correct one?

By the way ...
The most important reason to install a Rapidbike module was the poor engine performance low in revs ... idle to 3000 rpm ! Standard bike ... It felt like you had to give more throttle to drive away then needed (poor air/fuel mixture) also on slow roundabouts I had to go back in first gear and with slipping clutch, traffic-jam driving was also with slipping clutch otherwise it looks like you driving a rodeo bull  Higher in revs there was no problem at all, just fine and powerful Bike modified ... Not the power boost, because at the end it gives not a massive HP gain high in revs ! But the smooth ride low in rpm, the handeling of the engine from idle to the red zone woww the smooth power delivering from idle, comming out of corners in second or thirth gear where you can go back to 2000 rpm and put on full throttle  that is why I like the Rapidbike !!!
