OT: Harley Davidson Creed film

===> YouTube - Harley Davidson Creed Film

This almost makes me want to sell my Sportster. I sure wouldn't fit in, with my full helmet, leather jacket, gloves with fingers, no tattoos. Also, I sometimes wear my Honda jacket while riding by BMW, or my BMW jacket while riding my Sportster--no doubt a butt-kicking offense. I also like to wear colors other than black.

They should have added a line: "We believe in rolling road blocks."

ETA: In all fairness, over on the Sportster forum the majority of posts are poking fun at it.

Huh.....

So if what I ride tells alot about me, what does our R1100S/ R1200S say about us I wonder?

And they forgot to mention that every dealership MUST be a tourist attraction/ trap?

That makes me laugh!! It especially make me laugh when I blow past a whole gaggle of HD's riding in formation. I think Bikerfish and RBMann know what I mean.
The Hoka Hey Challenge should be real exciting. This event should be for only the toughest of HD riders, the real riders you know.

The last verse was omitted.

We believe in stick-on tats, hauling our bikes on a trailer, wearing novelty helmets because our brain ain't worth the cost of an Arai, drilling our stock mufflers to make our ride even less powerful, going slow so we can get the attention we don't get in our day jobs, getting the low mileage discount on our motorcycle insurance, collecting H-D tee-shirts from places we've never been by mailing off for them and last but not least paying someone to put air in our tires and oil in our engine because other than driving our Harleys like we drive our designer pickup trucks on mostly interstate highways, we don't know nothing about how you really ride one of these motorcycles. But, we can strike a good pose.

What I don't understand is the "forward controls" thing. With your feet and arms stretched out in front of you, how do you lift yourself off the seat to ride thru (or over) rough places in the road or road debris?

Also, if I ever get so slow on a bike that I'm holding up traffic, someone please take the bike away from me and give me a golf cart instead.

I read something funny. Definition of HD riders; A cubicle jockey during the week and dress up like a deranged viking on the weekend. lol. I only wish I could understand why people want to be like everyone else....sheepeople! I have always been the kind of person....if its popular I run the other direction. I`m not weird....but I can`t stand being like everyone else.

I have nothing agains any riders. I actually ride with a couple of HD riders although they have a number of other bikes consisting of BMW, KTM, Ducati's and such. The problem I have is when the group riders try to control the highway not only blocking other motorcyces but all vehicles. I ride alone quite often and a number of times when overtaking a group they have tried a technique which I call block passing, trying to control both lanes as Lightfighter showed. This is dangerous and uncool.
Did any of you guys check out the video of the Hoka Hey Challenge? Going into battle, you got to be kidding.

Dee, I wonder how my '85 FXRS(SP) would do in that challenge. It's a basic low glide. The fuel tank is smaller than the dressers but it is one of the best riding frames H-D ever built. It's carb fueled which is a disadvantage in the high elevations.
