Corser ended up 3rd for SuperPole. Didn't a team manager or engineer leave Ducati and join BMW? If so, looks like he was the only one who knew how to set-up Haga and Fabritzio's bikes as they haven't been qualifying anywhere near the front while Corser has steadily moved up in his qualifying efforts.

Not any team manager... the TEAM Manager for WSC. Davide Tardozzi (sp) left Ducati after nearly countless WSC titles for BMW. Yes I agree his influence along with second yr knowledge of tracks, probably the best development rider on the grid, etal have moved BMW up quickly. First victory may happen this season.

BMW team gained Xerox wsb boss Davide Tardozi and Michel Fabrizios's track engineer Max Bertolini. I think it is starting to show a definate +. Corser has been fast since the 1st practice. Even Ruben made it into SP#1. tjs

What amazing racing, WSB really is exciting, and it is great to see BMW spending so much time up front, now if we could just finish up front that would be the cherry on the pie!

BM is doing their homework and setting the bike up much better it appears. I'm predicting a podium soon for Corser. I said the key lay in the Superpole and that would appear to be the truth. The next step is tyre management. Assen was a literal free-for-all.

Neat shot of Corser really flogging it at Assen-he rode the piss out of that thing. BTW, I was curious so I logged onto 3asyride.com-it's a BMW Mottorad retail financing program available just about everywhere except the US.

Looking at the transformation of the bike at Assen, and knowing that the centre of the universe for traction control is in Italy,i'd be interested to know how many strings Tardozi has pulled!!!,and interesting how Ducati have gone to pot, certainley put his(Tardozi) salary up for next year thats for sure.

Indeed. Has Tardozzi and his connections written all over it. Awesome progress. A little more tire management and they could be there. Held up 2-3 times as long as in the past, so it's quite an improvement. Was nice to see the beemer up there so much. When Rea finally came through, it was quite a pass. Looked about like the one Spies did at the very end last year. All on the curb.

I agree, Rea was just playing with the field. He held everyone up until a few laps from the end and then it was bye, bye.

Monza is a fast track, so I think the BMWs top end will be a plus. As long as the tires hold up that is.

I am impressed with Tory's ability to hang with the young guns too.

The mystery might be solved. I took a closer look at the picture posted by Cageyar and lightened the visor a little.
