BMW Roundel Anyone Set Their DOHC Cams Yet (HP2 Sport)

Curious as to if any forum brothers have set their valves on the HP2's that are running around? I keep checking them and they simply have not moved yet since I got it new. I only have about 6500 miles on the bike however, but still, I thought they would at least have needed a adjustment by now. Thoughts? She seems pretty good for a bike that is only supposed to last 30,000 miles. Should I take it to a dealer to find out if somethings wrong...................

Jim,
The last time I was by BMW Atlanta I was talking to one of their master wrenches who was doing a 600 mile service on an R1200GS Adventure....the one with OHC's. He said he has yet to have to set the valves on any of these bikes to include nate's race bike. They check them but so far they are all in spec. So, I'd be tempted to just ride it and check it again at 12,000 miles. Betcha they won't need it then either.

Only touched one, and they were all in spec. Bob is probably right.
No need to worry either way, and checking is fun and easy.

Thats what I am hearing from Chris at San Jose also. He is running their HP2S to 9,600 RPM also with the MoTec.

My new 2010 DOHC GS is sure quiet mechanically, the best bike I have ever had...........so far.
