ah, but is was a fun bike when it ran, good wheelies.
fast and stable, it the ecu was right then it would be a great bike except for the puck dent that was fixed, puck courtesy of brad z and a poor glue job on test leathers.

May be wrong. But it is my understanding that there is no "lemon-law" with regards to motorcycles in Ca. You are on your own. Good that BMW did the right thing with the help of the dealer and a persistent owner. So dont count on three non-fixes and getting your money back. Aside from that. Love the bike. But after ridding the R100RR for a few hours it is next. It will sleep with the German and Italian.

If a motorcycle is registered in the state of CA for on road use, it's covered under the CA state lemon law. See subsection (e) (2):

California Lemon Law Statutes

Wife just corrected me. In Laws bike was in Colorado, but it was a BMW. My mistake.

...which is just one of the reasons that we're no longer playing with the guys who made those leathers. watch what happens in the coming months/year when they slash the retail price, reduce material and assembly quality, in an effort to try and compete with cheap chinese crap already on the market.

i hate it when a company with a already good product line and potential for great things...then decides to panic, takes the wrong turn and goes all price 'ho on ya.

Held gloves faced the same problem. They solved it by keeping the production (and charging) for their premium kangaroo / stingray gloves in Germany, using an eastern European country for their middle line and then Pakistan for their "budget" line.

these price ho's be an italian used-to-be-leather company, pared down to a design middle-man that's destined to fade into the background.

Dainese?? The stuff they sell now is Chinese I think, I have two jackets, one I bought in Germany in 1999, and one I bought over here a few years ago. The one from 1999 is much better built, and made in Italy. I can't remember where the new one is built, but not Italy.

from what i saw and experienced with that particular bike, there's no ghost in the machine, it's a complete congregation of them.

i once rode a big-bore yamaha for a season of enduros. it ate a transmission first race out (unheard of), ate a lower end bearing in the first 3 miles at another event, and killed the ignition at the third race.
feeling sorry for me, they stuffed in the motor that had been freshened up right after winning baja. it got about 40 miles and expired.

i was never happier to drop a bike off at the shredder as i was with that one.
i still snarl and growl a bit whenever i see one.

don't care what type of magic wand/card flash trickery they waved at jeffie's former bike. it's still possessed by demons and hell bent on not being ridden.

I'm banking the bike is fine... now that the charcoal canister has been refreshed.

I recognize the back of that bike. I'd think about buying it if they remove the leading digit from the price and don't change the rest of them.

That is too bad, I have a 3 year old SPIDI one piece that I really like a lot. It still looks and feels like new. I would have bought more of their stuff in a heart beat....thanks for the heads up.
