LED turn signals?

Will the flasher unit on a 2001 R1100S deal with the reduced load of a set of rear LED turn signals and still flash correctly?

It will not completely break, but it will flash a lot faster than normal. You can add a 5 cents resistor to fix it.

I installed 8 Ohm 20 Watt resistors from Radio Shack and they work well, did this on two bikes, a DR-650 with a conventional blinker, and the R1200S where it is handled by the ZFE. Our radio shack has them in two packs.

What he said^…
I used a 10 ohm radio shack deal, they came in a 2 pack.
I actually took them out, I like the fast-blink for freeway commuting.

Where you have resistors - you have heat.

I have rear LED's and just let them blink faster. I figure anything out of the "normal" may promote attention.

I bought a flasher that could handle the LED on my Buell.
