New Ducati Panigale

If BMW gets close to that with the upcoming Wasser Boxer I would forgive them for going with water cooling.

Stunning beauty. All proportions are perfect. If only we could see more of the engine without breaking the majesty of the careen.

Me = never a Ducati fan however, if money were no to little object, I'd get one in black as that communist red makes me puke! Much better looking bike than the plain looking 1198.

boring! they pump more power out of the existing motor, and then wedge it in a chassis that sits between the 1198 and Diavel. at least Ducati is pushing the innovation button, they keep trying to find that sweet spot. hypermotard, monster, streetfighter, diavel, now panigale. the Multistrada seemed like a real strategic step in the right direction, the rest of the stuff feels a lot like, throw it at the wall and see what sticks.

A little behind the curve there shred. Read up. Mostly new engine. No more belt driven cams. You are forgiven, considering your latest preoccupation. A bit negative by you, though. Kinda like the old HP2S threads.

i didn't read the thing about the new cam drive so i guess thats cool, but it's still kind of business as usual. I wonder why they are making a new motor when they have the V4 desmo already in house? why not just shove that in the 1198 frame and call it a day. my comment wasn't so much on the actual bike as the Ducati innovation process, but to their credit they are doing something.

yeah i am still feeling the HP2S glow!

Hey You Geezers

Kind of like getting aroused over a centerfold in playboy. Old men with money can buy it; but, it ain't gonna perform.

+1. Common enough on this forum.

Other notables used to think that inline-4 and chain-drive were horrible. Then when BMW 'introduced' them, they were awesome.

Human nature I suppose.

Love innovation. Sounds like it might mean a new record in volumetric efficiency for normally aspirated engines.

I do remember when a porsche flat six had 90 hp / liter. .. .this looks like double that.

Hats off.

Because a twin is the best engine configuration for a motorcycle. And we love twins!

And if that introduction forces BMW to push the envelope on the upcoming Wasser Boxer, then we are better off!

Jeez it's great but that's more power than a human being could ever use on the street.

But I'd by one if they put in something other than a Superbike "Torture Rack.

Like a Multi or something.

Yep ,and it just goes to show folk still do not understand the Ducati marketing, and hence why they flatly refuse to homologate the V4.

What also isn't mentioned you'll need to be a midget to get on one,or have a sense of humour when you look in that shop window your riding past, cuz if your a normal sized human it'll look like your on a monkey bike, aka V4 Aprillia.

fair observation, but the question is does Ducati understand Ducati marketing?

I blame that on the US Government that continues to force us to burn ethanol even though it causes us to get lower mpg and pay more for our food.
