Possible spline solution for 2001 to 2004 R1150GS
Has anyone done any investigation on using the R1200 input or drive shaft into a 2001 to 2004 R1150 GS transmission,
it appears that the splined portion has a longer set of splines this would then go into the disc to engage all of the splines, and then possibly using some of the shaft components they could be swapped, also using the R1200 clutch disc instead of the 1150 unit This is the parts picture for the R1200 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/w/e/217.png This is the parts picture for the R 1150 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/n/c/17.png After looking it appears the shafts have the same diameters though the newer trans has bigger bearings the inner dimentions are the same __________________
