Fantastic

I put on a new set of Pilot Road 2ct's and some EBC brake pads and sprayed some
silicon lubricant under the throttle and went riding for a couple of days on my favourite roads and it clocked over 180,000 kms
and I spanked my S hard and it is still running as strong as ever
What a great bike.

Cheers,

Frank

Nice color, glad it's getting its legs stretched... the more I ride the better I like my 'S'.

Mine only has 82k miles, but I'm working on it!

Hey Mann, that is my favorite local route: Mt. Hamilton Road in San Jose.
This is the twisty road that runs from South San Jose up to Lick Observatory, then back down the 'backside' to the central valley and eventually I-5.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Hamilton_(California)

The first 20 miles (up to the observatory) has 360+ turns!!! Talk about arm pump!

This picture is taken on the way back down the front looking towards the NE. You can see San Jose below me, and the SF Bay shimmering beyond....

Hopefully this route will be on the TC Ride?
It will if I have any say!

peace
Len

FastFrank could you give us some first hand insight on the roads in Tasmania? I've heard nothing but great things about the riding there.

Google street view shows what could qualify a tight hairpin too! Looks like a great road!

Dee,

The road up the west of Tasmania is incredible but the weather has to be fine, which it is not most of the time.
The traffic is minimal ie. we overtook 3 cars in 300kms on our last ride!!
The road surface is mostly good to great and with lots of corners.
Most corners are not marked to their tightness they just have signs saying
"winding road next 25 kms" etc. except for the 25 kmh corners are usually marked.
And you can be reasonably assured that there will be no Police so you can give
your bike maximum berries!
Oh and a lot of the ride is through World Heritage listed wilderness.

Cheers,

Frank

EG.

Frank, Thankyou. I had been told some years back by a Canadian Mounty that Tasmania was the best place he had ever ridden. Sounds like a place to visit.

Motorcycle Hire Rental Tasmania hire BMW's to suitable cashed up gentlemen.
Unfortunatley he will not hire me another 1200GS as I tried and he told me
that I rode the last one to the limit and over 650 km's in one day and
it was not worth his while to hire his bikes to me again!
Mmm I wonder what data he was able to view from the onboard computer?

Cheers,

Frank
